MONOLITHOS played a key role as a Silver Sponsor at the “7th International Conference on Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells & Electrolysis”
Thrilled to have played a key role as a Silver Sponsor at the “7th International Conference on Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells & Electrolysis” in the picturesque setting of Lefkada, Greece, from October 1st to 5th.
🌍 The CARISMA conference series focuses on addressing key challenges in advancing polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells and electrolysis. It serves as a platform for key discussions on materials, tech solutions, and market perspectives.
👩💼 Our esteemed team member, Dr. Eirini Zagoraiou, had the privilege of representing MONOLITHOS at this event. She presented a compelling topic, “Corrosion Study of Mo/SS Bipolar Plates for PEM Electrolyzers,” contributing to the insightful discussions on state-of-the-art developments in the field. The presentation was prepared in collaboration with German Aerospace Center (DLR) within the framework of the Promet-H2 project and included recent results within topics such as:
👉 Low-cost, high-performance Stainless Steel (SS) Bipolar Plates (BPPs) and Porous Transport Layers (PTLs) for PEM Water Electrolysis (PEMWE).
👉 SS-BPPs and SS-PTLs with a thin MacroPorous Layer (MPL) applied via Vacuum Plasma Spraying (VPS), matching the performance of Ti-based components.
The authors of the presentation were: Eirini Zagoraiou, Jorge Torrero Cámara, Anastasia Moschovi, Aldo Gago, Daniel Garcia-Sanchez and Iakovos Yakoumis
We extend our gratitude to the University of Patras and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) for organizing this impactful event. It was an excellent opportunity to engage with like-minded professionals and share our expertise in advancing sustainable technologies.
