🌍MONOLITHOS Empowers Sustainable E-Fuels Development in Eco2fuel project! ⚡

Last month, Dr. Anastasia Moschovi, our Head of R&I Department, participated in the 5th General Assembly meeting of the ECO2Fuel project, hosted by VITO in Mol, Belgium. ECO2Fuel, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 program (Grant No. 101037389), aims to develop the world’s first low-temperature 1MW direct electrochemical CO₂ conversion system to produce economic and hashtag#sustainable hashtag#efuels and hashtag#chemicals. 🌱🔋

MONOLITHOS is proud to contribute significantly by supplying hashtag#electrocatalysts for the pilot plant and the final 1MW demonstrator, ensuring the provision of the required amounts of anode and cathode electrocatalyst powders. Moreover, we’re leading the efforts to recover non-Critical Raw Materials (hashtag#nonCRMs) from spent Membrane Electrode Assemblies (hashtag#MEAs) and assessing the performance of the obtained fuels for passenger cars. 🚗🔧

During the meeting, partners discussed progress, shared updates, and outlined future milestones. Topics ranged from pilot-scale catalyst synthesis to electrochemical characterization and stack component design research. Partners also had the opportunity to visit VITO‘s electrolyzer testing site, offering valuable insights into our collaborative efforts.
